Dear Friends & Neighbors of the Fort Hunt Community:
We’re gearing up for our Little League Baseball Spring 2010 season. This program, which includes more than 44 teams for boys and girls ages 5 to 16, has been successfully serving the Fort Hunt Community for over half a century. Fort Hunt Little League is embarking on its 55th season of providing the opportunity for boys and girls of all abilities to play baseball on fields located in the Fort Hunt Community.
Our programs are run exclusively by volunteers. From the coaches and managers to the umpires, the field maintenance crews, the registrar, and the equipment manager – the list is endless. Unfortunately, as you know, volunteers are not enough to make it all work. Fort Hunt Little League Baseball could not continue without your much needed financial support. Registration fees cover only a portion of the necessary costs, which include team uniforms and equipment, field maintenance service and equipment, Little League and Fairfax County fees and other miscellaneous expenses that invariably arise. As a result of the strong support we’ve received over the last several years, Fort Hunt Little League has been able to build and maintain a very successful program. We have some of the best fields in the area and the experience afforded our players is second to none. We want to maintain, and eventually improve upon; this standard but we cannot do it without your invaluable support.
The neighbors and businesses of the Fort Hunt Community have always been generous with their assistance and we are writing to you to be a part of our team for the 2010 season. We hope you’ll be a part of our 2010 effort by sponsoring one or more teams and/or placing an ad in our Spring Catalogue of Teams and Sponsors and/or buying an outfield banner (to be prominently displayed at one of the baseball fields). If you are not aware our programs are considered non-profit with a 501(c)(3) status so your contributions may be deductible. Your contributions are a great way to support our community and with our Spring Catalogue of Teams and Sponsors being distributed to greater than 700 local families, it’s a great way for local businesses to advertise and display their support of our local children and this valuable program.
