Juniors Home Run Derby-June 3, 2011
Red Stevens Field-Carl Sandburg
Why: raise money for a portable hitting cage at Red Stevens Field
When: Friday night 3 June beginning at 7 PM
Who: Open to all U.S. residents that can hit
Details: $20 gets you into the Derby and qualifies you for lots of great prizes. Each player gets 10 outs. It’s a HR or an out – just like the show. A HR in the first round gets you to the 2d round where the real hitters will rise to the top. Rene Belanger pitches or you can bring your own pitcher. Food and drinks available.
Caution: The FAA will restrict the airspace over Red Stevens field that night and do not park near the left field fence.
