Our Various Teams
Parents must realize that although we are a single Rugby Football Club, we have several constituent teams within it, namely the 9-and-under coed touch, 11-and-under coed touch, 13-and-under boys tackle, 15-and-under boys tackle, 17-and-under boys tackle, and girls tackle.
As such, there is no guarantee that all of our teams will be playing in the same location on game day. In fact, it is most likely they will be in separate locations. Usually, the touch team(s) will be together, but will go somewhere different than the tackle teams (13 and up). Girls’ and boys’ tackle teams may or may not play at the same locations. Usually, the tackle teams will tend to play at the same location, so there will be opportunities for players to play up. This being said, there is no guarantee that, match by match, all tackle teams will be at the same location.
This requires prior planning and flexibility on players’ and parents’ parts. So...we need coaches, for all teams, all ages. It doesn’t matter if you’re a rugby veteran or not, or even if you’re a seasoned coach; we just need adults to volunteer to help run this program. You will figure it out soon enough, and will have lots of help from the other coaches. No one will be allowed to fail.
